From founding a public school-private school collaborative gifted program in 1991 to representing District 3 on the Miami-Dade County School Board for four consecutive terms to teaching for 17 years to serving as a Dean of Academic Affairs and Community Engagement, Dr. Karp's career has been a through-line of advocacy for every child.
Lifelong Miami-Dade resident. Ed.D. from the University of Miami, Graduate degree from Syracuse's Newhouse School of Public Communications. Husband. Father of three. Eagle Scout. Currently teaching and active in community service.
